A Journey By Train
A journey by train is always interesting and pleasing for me. So if I get a chance, I don't miss it. During the last winter vacation, my parents decided to visit Chattagram by train. It was a matter of great joy for me.

On the appointed day, we reached the Kamalpur Railway Station at 7.30 AM and bought tickets from the counter. We got into the compartment and took our seats. It was an express train. The train started on time. Gradually the speed of the train increased.

Crossing the Tongi Junction, the train was running fast through the green field's, Paddy plants, sugar cane plants, banana plants, etc. were tossing their heads in the gentle breeze. Green trees, houses, and small stations seemed to pass behind speedily.

The passengers in the compartment were talking on various matters. Some were reading newspapers and magazines. Sometimes hawkers came to sell their goods. We took light tiffin in the compartment.

The train touched only three stations on the way. The scenery of the Mainamati Hills and Chittagong Hill tracks was looking very charming from the train. By 1.30 PM we reached Chittagong Railway station and our journey came to an end. The journey gave us much pleasure.

The Rainy Season
There are six seasons in Bangladesh. The rainy season is one of them. It comes after summer and lasts for two months, that is, Ashar and Srabon. Sometimes it comes earlier and continues up to Bhadra.

The rainy season comes with heavy rainfall. So rivers, canals, ditches, ponds, and often cornfields become full to the brim with water. The land becomes wet and the roads become muddy and slippery. Continuous rainfall often compels people to remain idle in their houses without any work,

Our agriculture mostly depends on rainwater. Farmers get a good harvest if it rains in time. People can carry their goods to distant places by river ways at a cheaper cost in this season. Heavy rainfall often causes a flood. It damages crops, houses, and roads. people & domestic animals have to suffer much during the flood period. Waterborne diseases like cholera, diarrhea, etc. often break out and carry away human live.s

In spite of all these problems, the rainy season plays a vital role in our agro-based economy. We can't yet think of growing crops without the help of this season.
